The Position: JUNIOR BRANDS MANAGER LOCAL BEER BRANDS in GBG

GBG – Global Beer Georgia is a new Georgian brewery since 2017.

 

Department: Marketing Department.
Location: Tsilkani, Mtskheta, Georgia
Employment status: Full-time (10:00 am - 07:00 pm)
the starting date for this position is from 11.10.2018

 

 

Global Beer Georgia has started operating  in 2017, becoming a new key player on Georgian beer market. GBG manages the complete process, including production and marketing of mainstream and premium beer brands. GBG as an official Heineken partner in region aims at taking local beer culture to a whole new level.

JUNIOR BRAND MANAGER LOCAL BEER BRANDS

                JOB PURPOSE

  • Junior Brand Manager will be responsible for marketing activities across Local Beer Brands (ICY, ARAGVELI).
  • Brand Manager inputs to and implements the marketing strategy for defined Brand/s (including communication, price positioning, consumer promotion and innovation), in line with overall company business objectives.

 

 

MAIN  RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Contributes to defining the Role and Ambition of the Brand in the market, as well as to development of the winning long-term Strategy to achieve this Ambition:

  • Supports the Senior Brand Manager in defining the Role the Brand plays in the portfolio, setting the Brand Ambition and milestone plan to reach the targeted ambition.
  • Inputs to the Brand pricing strategy development
  • Leads the development of the Annual Brand Plans; defines key Must Win Battles in order to reach the Brand Ambition, Equity and business goals;

 

Possesses deep Consumer, Shopper & Customer Understanding

  • Analyses and interprets in-market and Brand health performance information on a regular basis;
  • Critically observes consumers and shoppers behavior to uncover powerful insights that can be exploited for business gain;
  • Conducts quantitative / qualitative consumer research in cooperation with research agencies;
  • Contributes to the development of channel /category strategies;
  • Tracks and analyses competitive developments;

 

Leads local deployment of Brand Communication for all consumer-relevant touch-points in alignment with Internal Guidelines:

  • Applies brand positioning & Brand identity via all relevant touch points;
  • Creates communication assets to address market needs and insights;
  • Leads the development of winning creative ideas and translates them into winning executional materials;
  • Selects & leads sponsorship, trade and consumer events;
  • Shows full understanding of the communications mix and ensures communication channels cover key consumer touch points by developing Annual Media Strategy;               
  • Ensures all brand communication complies with legal regulations and Rules of Responsible Marketing;

 

Sells in internally and leads the deployment of the Brand Innovation and Renovation agenda:               

  • Launch Management – develops outstanding in-market launch plans and supervises execution;

 

Manages Brand Budget and P&L:

  • Manages and optimizes ATL&BTL budget and resources to increase ROI of brand marketing spending;
  • Partners with Purchasing for agency management and spending optimization;
  • Understands and influences brand P&L to deliver sustainable business growth in line with the defined pricing strategy

Internal:

  • All departments within the organization.

 

External:

  • Distribution Company, advertising and media agencies, event planning agencies, PR agencies, market research agencies, packaging and advertising materials suppliers

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

Preferable University degree in marketing or comparable field;

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant brand marketing experience is needed
  • Experience in Marketing with a focus on Brand Management.
  • Former Experience/background with international brands is highly welcomed.

 

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of brand development, marketing activities, tools and techniques is needed
  • Knowledge of brand development tools is needed.
  • Knowledge of ATL and BTL marketing is needed.
  • Knowledge of most important IT tools is needed.
  • Knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry is a plus.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in spoken and written Georgian
  • Strong working knowledge Russian (highly recommended)
  • Strong working knowledge English (must)

 

PERSONAL SKIILS:

  • Creative Thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills.
  • Self-discipline, accuracy and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, communication skills and good attention to details are required.
    Self-motivation, ability to work under pressure.
  • Capability in building strategic, multilevel and team work relationship is needed.
