Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented, diligent individual to join a dynamic team of professionals based in Geneva, Switzerland. In this role, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role working within the Data Team which creates the company’s primary product.

Successful candidates are expected to work five days a week if employed in a full-time position. As per the rotation schedule, candidates must ensure their availability to work on Sundays in exchange for other working days during the week.

Due to the employing company’s requirement of keeping data up to date at all times throughout the year, the candidate will be expected to work during European/non-Orthodox Christmas holidays in the second half of December and very early January, therefore the candidate will be expected to not request time off during these periods as they may not be feasible due to operational requirements. During the summertime (June-August), holidays should be taken following the core team to ensure the availability of the backup.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data entry and validation: The role requires a unique skill set and a supreme ability for attention to detail. Transactions are manually entered into a database, leveraging partial information from numerous sources to identify the complete transaction details. This work requires patience, problem-solving skills and diligence in order to deliver the highest quality work.
  • Process data from various sources and enter the information into a custom-built data entry interface.
  • Collaborate with the team to share workload and resolve conflicts or uncertainties in the data.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
Education
  • A university degree in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field. 2-3 years of relevant experience in administrative roles, business support, data management, accounting, book-keeping or a related field.
  • Alternatively, no university degree required, but 10+ years of proven professional experience in secretarial, administrative assistance, or accounting/book-keeping roles.

Technical skills
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in using Windows, including file management, installing software, etc.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is crucial.
  • Good knowledge of geography will count as a plus.

Soft Skills:
  • Attentive to Detail: Precise work, particularly in tasks like data entry, data manipulation, and document editing.
  • Time Management: An organized and efficient, person should be able to manage their time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different tasks and work independently.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and solve certain issues independently.
  • Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Being able to communicate clearly and professionally in English is an absolute must, any other language will be an advantage.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Since a person may interact with team members and potentially with clients (down in time), interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to communicate effectively are a must.
  • Self-Motivated and entrepreneurial.

Working Conditions:
  • The job posting is for a 100% remote position, allowing flexibility in the work environment. However, we are also open to employing candidates who are only available on a part-time basis (>50%).
  • The successful candidate will be expected to adapt to the main working hours of the headquarters based in Geneva, Switzerland (GMT+1) as well as the requirement of working on Sundays.
  • Occasional flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate business needs of meetings across different time zones.
  • The position is initially part-time, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time based on performance and business needs.
  • A reliable internet connection, dedicated workspace and triple-screen monitors are essential for effective performance of this role.
  • Remote work may be subject to change in time and future employees may be required to be present at the office from time to time.
