A day in the life of… 
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.  
  • Comply with and ensure adherence to Aimbridge processes and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations in line with management company standards.  
  • Comply with legal certification requirements of the role.  
  • Implement and follow requirements of daily, weekly, monthly and annual actions as laid out in the general manager Service Level Agreement (SLA) as provided by the regional supervisor  
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risk and maximize returns on the three key indicators of people, profit and Revenue Generation Indexes  
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top ten accounts, meeting clients, hosting events, and meeting with on-site contacts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.  
  • Ensure the hotel is maintained in line with legal requirements and Aimbridge standards.  
  • Ensure that all HODs maintain department budgets in line with Aimbridge processes.  
  • Represent Aimbridge and ownership at any and all required meetings and events.   
  • Oversee and assist in the company budget process as required.  
  • Ensure that training in service standards is taking place in each department.  
  • Assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment which focuses on the guest, through employee development and motivation.  
  • Forecast monthly the hotel's financial position, by estimating revenues and line-by-line expenses. Analyze previous and projected data to generate an accurate reforecast.  
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and develop your HODs, fostering a culture of development throughout the business.  
 
What do we need from you? 
  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or a related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 4 to 5 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and at least 5 to 6 years of related experience.  
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, Excel, and word processing.  
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and efficiently across all levels.  
  • Able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.  
  • Proven ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.  
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.  
  • Must be effective in problem solving in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing and identifying risks.  
  • Able to assimilate complex information, data, etc. from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.  
  • Effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.  
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
