Job Title: Room Attendant
Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor – Rooms / Housekeeping Manager

Job Purpose:
The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms at Hotel to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role ensures that all guest rooms are ready for occupancy, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment. The Room Attendant follows established procedures for cleaning, restocking amenities, and reporting maintenance issues, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

General Requirements:

• Report to duty on time, in full uniform, and be ready 10 minutes before shift.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene.
• Follow hotel grooming and uniform standards strictly.
• Adhere to all hygiene, safety, and cleaning policies.
• Display a courteous, positive, and guest-focused attitude.
• Attend daily briefings, trainings, and departmental meetings.
• Respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
• Comply with all Hotel operational standards and policies.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Restock guest room supplies such as toiletries, towels, minibar items, and stationery.
• Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure they meet hotel quality standards.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or guest requests to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures when operating cleaning machines and handling chemicals.
• Handle guest items with care and respect any lost and found protocols.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of housekeeping carts and storage areas.
• Cooperate with Front Office and other departments to ensure smooth room turnover.
• Report any suspicious activity or safety hazards observed during rounds.

Safety, Health & Security:

• Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and cleaning procedures.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure guest safety and privacy at all times.
• Adhere to fire safety and emergency evacuation procedures.
