IK Consulting is pleased to announce a job opening for the position of Technical Office Engineer at a partner company successfully operating in the construction sector.
Location: Tbilisi, Georgia
Salary: 7,000 - 9,000 GEL (monthly, fixed)
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 09:00 – 18:00 (short working day on Saturdays)

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) from architectural, structural and MEP drawings for the hotel development project.
- Assist in the preparation, review and submission of monthly progress payment certificates for both the client and subcontractors.
- Support cost estimation processes, including unit price build-ups, material take-offs, labor calculations and preliminary budgeting.
- Update quantity sheets, BOQs and cost tracking files according to design revisions, site instructions, VO changes and approved RFIs.
- Review drawings and compare them with site execution to ensure consistency; identify discrepancies, missing details or conflicts and report them to the Technical Office Manager.
- Coordinate daily and weekly with site engineers to collect production quantities, monitor progress and verify completed work.
- Support the preparation of variation orders and claims by providing accurate quantity calculations, supporting documents and cost data.
- Assist in preparing project progress reports, progress curves, productivity charts and other required documentation for management.
- Organize, update and manage the technical documentation system — including drawings, revisions, material approvals, method statements, RFIs and as-built documentation.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with design, planning, procurement and site teams to support smooth project execution.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Technical Office Engineer or Site Engineer in building construction projects.
- Experience in hotel, high-end, or large-scale building projects is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, progress payments, and basic cost analysis principles.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Experience with project planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project is a plus.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) – mandatory. Knowledge of Georgian and/or Turkish is an advantage; preference will be given to candidates who speak Turkish.
- Strong numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Good communication, teamwork, and coordination skills; ability to work in fast-paced project environments.
- For expatriate candidates: residing in or willing to relocate to Tbilisi, Georgia.
