Position Details
- Position Title: Marine Construction Project Manager
- Location: Poti, Georgia (housing provided)
- Reports To: Construction Project Manager
- Project Duration: 18 months + 3 months (extension)
- Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary, health insurance
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports
- Coordinate and supervise construction machinery and marine equipment activities
- Assist the Project Manager in preparation of method statements and work procedures
- Control compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Issue inspection requests to the Client/Engineer (Hold Points, Witness Points, laboratory tests, pre-pouring inspections)
- Monitor concrete works in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, and specifications
- Monitor piling works and associated testing activities
- Supervise installation of formwork and reinforcement
- Witness concrete testing in the field and laboratory
- Conduct visual inspections of completed works
- Prepare weekly quality control reports
- Coordinate with subcontractors and contractors on all QA/QC matters
- Verify quality of delivered materials and ensure proper material storage on site
- Monitor concrete curing and coating activities
- Issue, monitor, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Follow up on and close Client/Engineer comments and complaints
- Assist in preparation of as-built documentation and handover dossiers
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Construction Engineering
- Proven experience in marine and port construction projects
- Experience working with international contractors is an advantage
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Georgian and English
- Experience working under FIDIC contracts (preferred)
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
- High level of reliability, professionalism, and work ethic
