Svanidze Olive Oil produces and markets premium olive oil, positioning its products for both domestic and export markets. As the company scales production and expands its commercial footprint, we are seeking an experienced Sales Head to build and lead our sales strategy, grow revenue, and establish long-term distribution and trade relationships across key markets.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Sales Head will own the company's commercial strategy end-to-end — from market and channel development to key account management and sales team leadership. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate strategically while remaining closely engaged with day-to-day sales execution, particularly in the early stages of building out the function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the overall sales strategy, including annual sales targets, pricing frameworks, and channel priorities across domestic and export markets.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new distribution partners, importers, retail chains, and HoReCa (hotel/restaurant/café) accounts in target markets.
- Lead export market development, including participation in international trade fairs, buyer outreach, and negotiation of distribution agreements.
- Build, manage, and mentor a sales team as the department scales, setting clear KPIs and performance standards.
- Manage key accounts personally, maintaining strong relationships with strategic distributors and retail partners.
- Work closely with production and operations teams to align sales forecasts with production capacity and inventory planning.
- Collaborate with marketing on brand positioning, packaging, and promotional strategy to support sales objectives.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market conditions in the olive oil and broader food/agribusiness sector.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports and forecasts for company leadership.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing agreements with distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and buyer meetings both locally and internationally.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior sales leadership role (Sales Director, Head of Sales, or equivalent).
- Proven track record in FMCG, food & beverage, agribusiness, or a related consumer goods sector; olive oil or gourmet food experience is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated success developing export markets and managing international distributor relationships.
- Experience negotiating and closing agreements with retail chains, importers, and HoReCa channels.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a growing or scaling company environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Fluent in English and Russian; additional languages are a strong advantage given export market focus.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including internationally.
